The purpose of this server is to host web pages and pictures for the group, the hardware specifications can be found on a seperate page from this main index page. Each user can have their own web space and I have added a 350gb hard drive with full FTP access for those who wish to upload pages and images onto their own site - no video streaming please due to bandwidth issues.
If you are interested in having your own pages on here, please drop me an email so I can email you the logon and password details, the FTP drive which stores the web pages supports a maximum of 8 seperate FTP accounts, however since the hard drive is used to store all pages and images for all the users of their own web pages on the server, access has been set up so just the logon / password is needed to get access to the drive - This way generic usernames/passwords can be set up to allow more than 8 users to upload files.
The server will shutdown every night for about 1 minute to rotate daily log files from the days access, it will also backup all web pages at 3am daily - this will not affect access.
